Starving Artist Session in the Kitchen

The term "starving artist" came to mind this morning when I had to decide what to do for my father's birthday that we are celebrating along with our heritage this afternoon at my parent's house.

I asked the other occupants residing in this house with me if they would like to paint some pictures in honor of their Paw-Paw since we were broke after paying the cell-phone gods to keep us connected to the outside world!

Here is the results of each of our artistic skills:

"Paw-Paw's Rose Garden" by Anya (my daughter)

"Apple of his eye" by Kym (my painting for my dad)

"Explosion" by Courtney (my son's girlfriend)

(My son was still working on his painting as I uploaded these images...)

We used a mixture of arcylics, white gesso, washable paints, pencil and tempra paints to produce these presents for my dad. Please enjoy them and have a wonderful Saturday afternoon. I cannot wait to enjoy the tasty meal of cornbeef and cabbage that my mom so lovingly makes every year in honor of my dad's birthday and St. Patrick's day!

Happiness only a child can produce

I was snapping pictures tonight of my little one's dance class. There was one picture in particular that I fell in love with right away.

I wanted to share the serenity of the scene that I captured of my daughter walking across the floor in her tap shoes while being distracted by the chaotic scene that was out of sight of the camera in her dance class.

I find this image to be very beautiful and I just wanted to share it, so please enjoy and have a great evening!

What is wrong with this picture?

On the layover in Atlanta during my flight back from Rhode Island, there was two couples having a bit of fun at the terminal where we were waiting to board our flight. I could not resist taking out my camera and asking them if I could snap the following image of one the gentleman that was obliging in a dare from the rest of his group:

Can you tell me what is wrong with this picture? It made for a good laugh and I took a moment to go over to their group and found out that this gentleman is a Psycho-therapist....I love his sense of of humor.

Have a great evening!
