Earth Hour and Some Fun Images

As I am preparing to turn my lights off for Earth Hour, I wanted to share some images of myself having a bit of fun with the copier at work. My co-worker has this project going of everyone doing self-portraits of objects or their hands, face, etc. I loved what was going on, so I took the time out and did a few of myself (not posted here). This past Friday, I was in a slap-happy mood after going to the circus with everyone. While waiting for one of the artist's bus to arrive, I photo-copied myself on the copier. I was told by the artist I was waiting with, that I was a silly and I got some laughs as well.

I call this one "Workin' 9 to 5":

In addition, I scanned in, and did some chalk layering to an illustration that my daughter had done for her mama:

Have a great evening and I am off to enjoy the Earth Hour!

Spring Break

I love that spring has arrived and cannot wait to fully dig into my garden that I somehow neglected last year. With the warmer weather now arriving, I was able to go outside and shoot some more of my TTV shots. My daughter has been the subject of many photos and somehow I always manage to capture an eerie side of life with her as the starring role. This particular image brought to mind that classic story of aliens beaming her up:

The angle of which she is frozen in time, the chair knocked over in front of her, the high contrast of the sky gives this image a feel of something is going on that we are not quite ready to see.

Tell me what your thoughts are on this image, do you see what I see?

Shadow Shot Sunday

I have always loved shadows and when I stumbled across this blog "Hey Harriet" I was fascinated and thrilled that I could find a way to share my images with others.

Here is my new Shadow Shot Sunday image for this week:

I caught this underneath my glider while hanging out in the backyard with my daughter. The various shapes that the sun filled the concrete with reminded me of the head of a Roc Em Soc Em robot that my brothers had when we were little. I love this image and could not wait to share it with the Shadow Shot Sunday. Please follow the link above that I posted to see interesting images that other talented individuals have had posted.

Have a great evening....
